A children's Christmas musical, for kids in pre-school through 6th grade, that includes 9 children's Christmas songs which include portions of 5 Christmas carols & a narrated script with the Luke 2 text.

The angels are in charge of delivering boxes of hats to everyone in the Christmas story and the hats have arrived just in time! Each hat box includes a note: "Hold on to your hat, and remember that God is always with you."

Mary and Joseph receive their hats in a barn in Bethlehem and are reminded that God will be with them as a new family. The shepherds receive practical hats for their work in the fields and are reminded that God is always with them - which is quite a promise, because the sheep really keep them moving! The wisemen know that God has been with them in their search to find the savior and they trust that God will continue to be with them as they finish their journey. You'll be surprised by what the wisemen do with their hats!

This Christmas musical invites you to hold on to your hat as you celebrate Jesus - God's promise to always be with us . . . Emmanuel.

Hold on to Your Hat - It's Christmas includes:
1) 9 Christmas songs for children which includes portions of 5 traditional Christmas carols with extra claps, snaps, steps, sign language, whistling, instrumental parts & motion options, and at least one song for your preschoolers to sing,
2) a piano score with guitar chords,
3) a vocal CD (a recording of Cathy singing the full version of each song),
4) a script with reader & narrator parts and 12+ non-speaking costumed characters (they get to act but they don't have to memorize any lines), prop list, and staging. (NOTE: the 20-minute version includes only 8+ non-speaking costumed characters - The wisemen are not included in the 20-minute version).

Purchase of this Christmas musical program grants you permission to make as many copies of the sheet music and script as needed for your performance plus permission to make and distribute copies of the vocal CD (a recording of Cathy singing the full version of each song) and lyric sheet to your kids (a great way for them to learn the music quickly!).

You have your choice of a full-length 40-minute version ($39 plus shipping, performance time: 40 minutes) or a short 20-minute version ($29 plus shipping, shorter script which does not include the wisemen and fewer songs - performance time: 20 minutes).

To preview this Christmas musical play, a script and vocal CD (a recording of Cathy singing the full version of each song) are available for $7 plus shipping. If you would like to use the 10-12 minute script and insert your own children's songs, purchase of performance rights for the script is $15 (script can be sent via e-mail to save shipping charges). If you already have a Christmas script written and would like to use some of the children's Christmas songs from this musical, sheet music is available for $3.00 per song plus shipping. Sheet music includes piano score, guitar chords and motions. No CD is included when you purchase sheet music for individual songs.

A keyboard CD (no vocals) is also available for $20 plus shipping, for those times when your piano player isn't available or when you need to free up your hands to teach motions or sign language. This CD may also be used for your performance - it's like hiring a piano player who plays the music the same way every time!

All orders must be prepaid. There are 3 ways to order:
1) Mail Cathy's printable order form with a check to: Cathy's Music, 1923 Noble Road, Arden Hills, MN 55112. $20 fee for returned checks.
2) Use your PayPal account. E-mail your order & mailing address to Cathy (cathy@cathysmusic.com) and she will send you a PayPal invoice. As soon as your PayPal invoice is paid, she will put your order in the mail.
3) Pay with a credit card over the phone. E-mail Cathy your phone number (cathy@cathysmusic.com) and she will call to take your order and credit card information over the phone.
All orders are shipped via priority mail. Overnight shipping rates are available for U.S. orders upon request.
All international orders must be placed via e-mail and paid through PayPal.
