Checkin' It Twice

A children's musical Christmas play, for kids in pre-school through 6th grade, that includes 6 original contemporary Christmas songs and contemporary arrangements of 4 Christmas carols.

Everyone in the Christmas story has a checklist and they're all Checkin' It Twice. Mary and Joseph use sticky notes to keep track of what to pack for their trip to Bethlehem, angels double-check the things they need for an upcoming concert, shepherds use a clipboard to lead a hillside roll call, and the wise men collect star-gazing equipment that will lead them all to the newborn savior. This Christmas musical was originally written using only traditional Christmas carols (The Christmas Checklist) and was rewritten to include contemporary Christmas songs. Checkin' It Twice includes:
1) 6 contemporary Christmas songs for children and 4 traditional Christmas carols with added snaps, actions, sign language & rhythm instruments and at least one song for your preschoolers to sing,
2) piano score with guitar chords,
3) a vocal CD (a recording of Cathy singing the full version of each song),
4) a script that includes Christmas text from Luke 2 with 18+ spoken parts and 10+ non-spoken parts (and the option to expand the parts to include more children or combine the parts for fewer children), prop list, and staging.

Purchase of the Christmas musical play grants you permission to make as many copies of the sheet music and script as needed for your performance plus permission to make and distribute copies of the vocal CD (a recording of Cathy singing the full version of each song) and lyric sheet to your children (a great way for them to learn the music quickly!).

You have your choice of a full-length 40-minute version ($39 plus shipping, performance time: 40 minutes) or a short 20-minute version ($29 plus shipping, similar script but fewer/shorter songs - performance time: 20 minutes).

To preview this Christmas musical program, a script and vocal CD (a recording of Cathy singing the full version of each song) are available for $7 plus shipping. If you'd like to use the 10-12 minute script and insert your own children's songs, purchase of performance rights for the script is $15 (script can be sent via e-mail to save shipping charges). If you already have a script written and would like to use some of the Christmas songs from this musical, sheet music is available for $3.00 per song plus shipping. Sheet music includes piano score, guitar chords and motions. No CD is included when you purchase sheet music for individual songs.

A keyboard CD (no vocals) is also available for $20 plus shipping, for those times when your piano player isn't available or when you need to free up your hands to teach actions or sign language. This CD may also be used for your performance - it's like hiring a piano player who plays the music the same way every time!

All orders must be prepaid. There are 3 ways to order:
1) Mail Cathy's printable order form with a check to: Cathy's Music, 1923 Noble Road, Arden Hills, MN 55112. $20 fee for returned checks.
2) Use your PayPal account. E-mail your order & mailing address to Cathy (cathy@cathysmusic.com) and she will send you a PayPal invoice. As soon as your PayPal invoice is paid, she will put your order in the mail.
3) Pay with a credit card over the phone. E-mail Cathy your phone number (cathy@cathysmusic.com) and she will call to take your order and credit card information over the phone.
